Neural representations of kinship

چکیده
While the fundamental relevance of kinship behavior for evolutionary and behavioral biology has long been recognized, examination from a neuroscience perspective is still in its infancy. Kinship highly conserved single-celled organisms to humans, where kin preferences are prevalent vocal communication. Kin recognition mechanisms varied, with evidence both genetic prenatal as well postnatal learning-based recognition. Learned predominant vertebrates allow flexibility regarding concept kin. We review new lateral septum role behavior. further discuss discovery nepotopy, topographical representation kin- nonkin-responsive neurons septum. Neural representations self/other, familiar/unfamiliar, nepotopy (kin/nonkin) may support circuit-level framework social template through which mammalian brain learns, categorizes, selects based on perceived identity. • multifaceted. Behavior, lesions rat kinship. Learning underlie flexible neural signature non-kin vertebrates.

Varieties of Uniserial Representations Iv. Kinship to Geometric Quotients
Let Λ be a finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field, and S a finite sequence of simple left Λ-modules. Quasiprojective subvarieties of Grassmannians, distinguished by accessible affine open covers, were introduced by the authors for use in classifying the uniserial representations of Λ having sequence S of consecutive composition factors. Our principal objectives here are t...
متن کاملKinship Verification with Deep Convolutional Neural Networks
Kinship verification from facial images is an interesting and challenging problem. The current algorithms on this topic typically represent faces with multiple low-level features, followed by a shallow learning model. However, these general manual features cannot well discover information implied in facial images for kinship verification, and thus even current best algorithms are not satisfying...
متن کاملDevelopmental neural kinship groups in the leech.
We have traced the developmental origins of various CNS neurons and glial cells of a leech to 10 clonally related groups of cells, the bilaterally paired M, N, O, P, and Q kinship groups. Each kinship group is descended from one of 10 identifiable blastomeres of the early embryo, the teloblasts. Of the approximately 200 neurons in each side of a segmental ganglion, 130 to 160 are in the ipsilat...
متن کاملcompactifications and representations of transformation semigroups
this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...
